Celebrating Kymberly Stewart Music, New Category, Gifting Pioneer Memberships

Hi Kidogo Members!

I hope this message finds you well, thriving, and enjoying the Fall season! Let's get to it!

KYMBERLY STEWART MUSIC

A few weeks ago, my friend and Spelman Sister Veronica Chapman, CEO of Black Baby Books introduced me to Kymberly Stewart on IG. Since then, I have had the pleasure of getting to know her! Thank you, Veronica! Kymberly is a singer/songwriter, musician, actress and early childhood music educator.

I've written about the dearth of diversity in children's content in my post, "Our Fight for Black." But it ain't all bad! Kymberly is working hard to fill the gap! Her music is sweet, fun, and full of soul. My daughter gives kudos to Kymberly's videos such as:

and....

You'll find her videos in the music/arts and circle time pages on kidogo.tv. I am happy to announce that Kymberly has agreed to provide Kidogo.tv with exclusive content (only our Pioneer Members will have access)! She'll produce the video content and I will produce the correlating "work"sheets. We're both SO EXCITED! I will also interview her LIVE on IG (pray for me y'all--doing an IG Live scares me) and we're also putting together a Kidogo Live, a virtual program for our Kidogo Kids. Be on the lookout for all of the aforementioned!

NEW CATEGORY

I add content to the site as often as I can. I added a new category a couple of weeks ago: news/talk show clips.

What better way to combat and counteract the dreaded 5 o'clock bad news cycle than to compile all of the segments, which spread the good news! Our children are doing wonderful things and it is my passion and purpose to highlight them.

GIFTING PIONEER MEMBERSHIPS

A few of you have asked about gifting a Pioneer Membership to someone else. After doing some research and chatting with Wix's customer service, gifting is not easy due to privacy restrictions. Each site member must have his or her own login credentials and those login credentials should not be transferred to anyone else. There is a clunky workaround though: Now that you're a member of the site, you can buy a Pioneer Membership. You can then send me a message, providing me with the name and email address of the person you'd like to gift. That person would then have to become a site member (that's free). From there, I can manually add the Pioneer Membership to that person's site membership profile. If that doesn't make sense or if it's too much of a hassle, please let me know!

Have a great rest of your week, everyone!

For the Kids, For the Culture,

Keeana
